Several years ago we were approached by several customers looking for us to create a transcutaneous skin button for rodents. At the time we evaluated the idea but ultimately passed on creating one as it violated our main tenet to create the best solutions possible with animal welfare and ease of use at the heart of what we do.
Fast forward a few years, manufacturing techniques have evolved to the point where we could now make a superior product The Magnaport™. Introducing our latest infusion product innovation MagnaPort™ Micro. We have "unbuttomned" the skin button. The Magnaport™ gives you the funtionality of a skin buttom with superior technology of a totally implantable access port. We again have mated two different technologies into one product which is superior to the sum of its parts. The MagnaPort ™ Micro infusion system for rats provides reliable, long-term access in rats without the huge exit site maintenance associated with skin buttons. The system utilizes conventional luer connections and proprietary connection at the animal to make it fit seemless ly with your exisiting infusion equipment.
