SubQ Port Ti™
AVABIO has created reliable subcutaneous infusion access catheter for laboratory animal use.
Subcutaneous access ports have been the gold standard for reliable, repeated access to the venous system in humans for decades. AVABIO has brought together the superior technology subcutaneous access port and a unique subcutanous catheter to your research animals. The SubQ Port Ti™ features a large silicone septum for easy accessing in a biocompatible, low profile shape made of durable titanium with a large bore silicone catheter with intergral side holes and Dacron cuff with an atraumatic catheter tip. The silicone catheter allows for larger volumes of fluid to be infused than traditional needles and has the ability to concentrate the infusion to a precise area. The Dacron cuff helps prevent any fluid from tracking back up the catheter to the port site which could allow for fluid to escape from the Huber needle injection site. The system can also be utilized with the CIC port and the Cath-In-Cath infusion line for easy repeated infusions without the need for repeated needle sticks.
